At Baker Street a helpful staff member showed us the simple connection and we were off. Got to Kew and ready for a decent coffee, so stopped in a patisserie in the high street and enjoyed a reasonable coffee and a very good cinnamon scroll, happy days.
Walked down and entered the gardens and spent the best 4 plus hours there wandering around, looking at Kew Palace, climbing the Treetop Walkway for the superb views, art gallery and the Botanical drawings and watercolours by Sue Wickison, Pakistan artist Anila Quayyum Agha's installations and enjoying lunch on the grass, an icecream and just a wonderful day in superb settings and finally some warm, sunny weather.
Caught the train back to the hotel and had a small change before heading to The George Hotel to meet Samara ( an ex Fujifilm work colleague) and her new husband Richard who now live in the UK, working in London.
Enjoyed a nice catchup and a couple of beers before heading back to the hotel via Nando's for a takeaway chicken as feeling a tad tired after a long day. Settled with a wine and watched the most marvellous TV station that only played music clips from the 60's, brilliant. Off to bed and a well deserved sleep.
